Dublin suicide help group expands

From Ballyfermot Post
A Lucan-based centre for suicide prevention and self-harm is set to expand, branching out to North Clondalkin, Tallaght and Finglas.

Pieta House say they will provide outreach services for people affected by suicide or harboring suicidal feelings. They aim to provide outreach services to most of Dublin city throughout 2008.

Staff at Pieta House are also hoping to see out the year with a new centre being established in rural areas of the country. Spring Term for Adult Learners in Old Bawn

Dear Lifelong Learners
I am pleased to inform you of a new alliance we have made in order to expand the excellent range of courses we offer for your benefit. This new alliance is with Ireland's premier security training body. The Irish Security Training Association has been the forerunner in establishing and maintaining standards in the security industry. We are offering their Static & Patrol Security - Basic Job Training course in our spring programme. On successful completion of the course a person is qualified for the Private Security Authority Registration in line with NSAI.999:2004. We are very pleased to be associated with the ISTA, which has its headquarters locally in Cookstown Industrial Estate. Their website is www.securitytraining.ie Please pass this email on to your colleagues/friends who might be interested.

I am also pleased to say that we have our first group graduating soon in the Introduction to Public Relations course. They are very pleased and I would like to recommend this course to anyone involved in business, voluntary groups or clubs.

I attach full details on these courses and welcome bookings for these courses from now for the spring term. [Click here to visit the Website - WW]

Once again thank you for choosing Old Bawn for your lifelong learning and if you are not currently with us we hope to see you back in the spring term. I will email you the brochure later in December.

Don't stress yourself too much in the run up to Christmas, that might only leave you no option but to join a relaxation class in January!

With every good wish from all the team here in Adult Ed in Old Bawn for Christmas and the New Year.
Brian Glennon
