"After their blistering performance there last year, Sinnerboy, the top international Rory Gallagher tribute act, will be back in the Temple Bar Music Centre on Thursday 30th November. Hailing from Manchester, Sinnerboy have built a huge reputation for faithfully recapturing the sound and excitement of a live “Rory gig”. Anyone who has seen this powerful three piece before will know its all about commitment and passion.- Rory’s music played as he did.
"This has been a busy year for Sinnerboy who have gigged the length and breadth of Ireland, the UK and the Continent. Already they have headlined the Rory Gallagher Festival in Ballyshannon, Cork Rocks for Rory, the big annual UK tribute in Manchester and the Leeuwarden Festival in Holland. To cap it all they headline Rory Gallagher Day in the Ulster Hall, Belfast, in late December when they will be introduced by none other than Donal Gallagher who has said of them: ‘here is the proof that Rory’s music lives on’!!
"Rory Gallagher had a huge impact on the world of blues and rock and blazed the trail for many major Irish acts to follow on the international stage. Rory’s work was a major source of inspiration for many other big name artists. Fellow Irish bluesman Gary Moore has described Rory as “a friend and a truly great player” while the renowned bassman Jack Bruce of Cream fame said quite simply “Rory proved a white man could play the blues”! Perhaps the greatest accolade for Rory was when his hero Muddy Waters invited him to guest on his London Sessions recordings – a huge endorsement of his standing in the blues world he loved so much.
