ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE TALLAGHT 2007

This Friday, 17th March 2007 sees St. Patrick’s Day Parade on the streets of Tallaght. It will be led by none other than Mrs. Bridie Sweeney, long lasting Volunteer for a number of Community based groups in Tallaght. Bridie has worked with the likes of the St. Vincent DePaul and the Old Folks Association to mention a few. She has been a very prominent person in Tallaght and to recognise all of her good will and help, the Tallaght Parade Committee have decided to award her the Grand Marshal for the 2007 St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Some novel faces like St. Patrick & Dracula will be mingling with all attending the Parade.

The Tallaght Parade promises to provide entertainment and fun for all ages ranging from dancing to Harley Davidsons, face painting to bands etc.. Local youth, sport and leisure clubs as well as local businesses have given generously of their time and provided funding towards making the Parade what promises to be one of the best yet for Tallaght, and, with entertainment starting in Tallaght Village at 12 noon, this promises not only to be the best parade yet, but a great day out.

One of the many highlights being provided at the Parade is by the Air Corps with their impressive flying machines. This one’s not to be missed!

Date: Friday, 17th March 2007
Venue: The Basketball Arena (the Parade will start here), opposite the Penny Black Pub, Tymon North Road Tallaght.
Time: 3.30pm
