South Dublin County Council has confirmed that customers using their domestic refuse collection service will not be receiving a new authorisation label in early 2007.
Instead, the purple "Jan-07" label, supplied in 2006, will continue to be valid into 2007 past the January expiry. Bin tags will still be in use in 2007.

No, the original statement is not incorrect.
A label with an expiry date of Jan-07 printed on it was issued in 2006.
This label will continue to be valid for the whole of 2007, and will not expire at the end of Jan-07 as indicated on the label.
